Lilla Rose Flexi Hair Clips
On a date. At Church. Out Shopping. Many places I wore my Lilla Rose hair clip. I even wore it to sleep and it also saved my daughters hair.
I have loved Lilla Rose Hair Clips since I learned about them over a year ago. When I was contacted by Independent Consultant Mae Raymond to review the flexi clips, I was happy to do so.
I have always needed my hair up since I breastfed alot and hated the way my hair would hang in my face when looking down at my babies. So even though my baby is now 3 years old, I am so use to my hair being up. I want something that looks pretty when I am around the house to when I am out on a special date with hubby. Claw clips always hurt my head and my hair was too thin for it to stay up in. Hair elastics were not very pretty. I didn’t like ribbons and headbands hurt my head also.
Now I have the Lilla Rose flexi hair clips. They are functional, pretty and don’t give me a headache. Made with pretty beads, a central design and metal sliding clip, these are perfect for anyone looking for a functional but pretty hair clip. Each month they come out with a special clip designed around a theme. Really loving this month’s theme. A blue starfish-since I love beach things.
Why did the clip save my daughter’s hair? It was her birthday and she was blowing out her candles on the cake. Since her hair was so long, her hair was really close to getting in the flame. I was wearing my review clip and since we didn’t have anything close by, I took it out and put it up in her hair. Now it was up and safe.
My daughters love these clips too since they ask to wear them alot.
Lilla Rose Flexi Hair Clips are priced between $11 and $30.

Aunt Mae’s Handcrafted Natural Soap
Mae also asked if I would review her handcrafted soaps. At first I was hesitant since our family has to be gluten free and I worry about even cross-contamination. After she stated her process and how she knows all the rules about ingredients and cross-contamination, I felt comfortable reviewing her soaps. There is one of her soaps that has oats in it but her process ensures no cross contamination.
I received Champagne, Black Amber & Lavender, Chocolate Covered Cherries, and Juniper Breeze. Hubby and I sniffed each of the soaps and we really liked the Chocolate Covered Cherries and the Black Amber & Lavender. The Champagne smell was a little strong (we don’t like champagne anyway) but after a month of sitting in our bathroom it smelled pretty nice. The Juniper Breeze was an okay smell.
We choose to go with the Chocolate Covered Cherries right away (hence the reason for the missing soap in the picture). We were pleasantly surprised to see how well it lathered up, didn’t leave a filmy residue and how well it lasted in the shower. Usually natural soaps are gone faster then they are used but these soaps held together all the way to the last sliver. It would lasted about a month for one person. Now we are using Black Amber & Lavender in the shower. We also are using the Champagne as hand soap in the bathroom.
Each soap is made with beef tallow, coconut oil, olive oil and fragrant essential oils in a proprietary blend.
I also received a handmade soap-tainer. The sleeve holds your soap all the way down to the last sliver. The soap-tainer was a perfect size to hold the 4oz bar of the Black Amber & Lavender.
These are beautifully made soaps and smell and work wonderfully.
Mae’s Soaps are priced at $4.95 for a 4oz bar and can be purchased on her website HERE.
